This weeks Top 5 Wednesday is all about Spring Reads – Books that remind you of spring, genres you tend to read in the spring, or books you’re looking forward to reading this spring! The brains behind the Top 5 Wednesday idea, along with past and future topics, can be found here.
I’m opting to give you guys a run down on 5 books that will be releasing this Spring that I am super excited for.
First up there is We Set The Dark On Fire by
Secondly, we have Storm Cursed by Patricia Briggs – Release Date 7th May
This is book 11 of one of my favourite Urban Fantasy series, and the series is jam packed with everything you could want from this genre – Werewolves, shifters, vampires and witches. Fae, demons, plenty of action and some romance on the side. I’ve loved every book of the series so far, so I’m fairly confident that this one will give me a very similar reaction!
Next up is the third and final book in Stephanie Garbers ‘Caraval’ trilogy – Finale. Release Date 9th May
This one is so bitter sweet – I absolutely love this series, I adore the characters and would love to be able to visit the world Garber has created, so I am desperate to get my hands on this book and devour it like I have with the other two, but at the same time I really don’t want the series to end!
Now we’re moving on to The Raven Coven by Emma Miles – Release Date 27th May
This is book two of the Fire-Walker fantasy series, you can check out my review of book one, The Raven Tower, here. Considering how quickly I got myself glued to the first book, The Raven Coven is up in the top 10 of my most anticipated reads of this year. I can’t wait to get lost in the adventures of Kesta and the Dark Man again!
Last, but certainly not least, we have These Witches Don’t Burn by Isabel Sterling – Release Date 28th May
This is another highly anticipated LGBT+ read, as well as falling into my beloved Urban Fantasy genre. Set around a group of witches living in Salem, dealing with a rogue Blood Witch, this book also weaves a good deal of mystery in amongst the magic and romance, so it’s looking to be a promising read!
What reads are you most looking forward to this Spring? Let me know!
