Well April has been a busy, busy month for me! Taking part in Camp NaNoWriMo this month meant a lot of blog writing took a back seat, but that doesn’t mean there hasn’t been a lot going on behind the scenes.
I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Rachel of Rachels Random Resources back in March, and have since signed up with her service as a blogger to take part on some of the blog tours she runs. So lots of reading and reviews have been happening this month, in preparation for my first handful of blog tours, which you will soon see popping up in various posts!
So between NaNo, blog tour prep and my day jobs, I’ve not had much time for anything else except eating and sleeping! (Both of which I happen to be particularly good at, might I add)
Now, let’s see what I’ve been reading this month!
First up was a book from my trusty TBR jar – Jack Of Hearts (And Other Parts) by L. C. Rosen. An LGBTQ+ read, I’ve been wanting to read this for quite a while! I’m a sucker for a good read with gay representation, and this one didn’t disappoint. You can check out my full review here.
Next was a book that Fairy Loot were running a readalong for – To Best The Boys by Mary Weber. The readalong was scheduled to run over 4 days – But I finished it in 3. When I got to the end of the allocated chapters for day 3, I knew there was no way I was putting the book down, so I pushed on to the end instead! I loved this book so much, you can check out my review of it here.
My final read of the month was Lily’s Just Fine by Gill Stewart. It’s a cute little YA book that manages to touch on a few of the tougher subjects, such as mental health, chronic illness and LGBT rights. This was a NetGalley read and my review will be posted nearer the publication date!
So a quiet month on the review front, but I’ve been busy behind the scenes for sure! So be prepared for lots of posts from me during May! What have you been reading this month?
