I was so excited to get my hands on this journal and see what it was like. I’m an aspiring writer but I seriously struggle with motivation and accountability so this was right up my street! Many thanks to Mariëlle Smith for providing me with a copy of the journal for review, and to Rachel of Rachels Random Resources for inviting me to take part in this tour.

For the purpose of reviewing, I worked through the first few weeks of the journal, as well as taking a sneaky read ahead to see how the programme progresses, but I can definitely see myself working through the whole thing! Everything is so well set out; there’s a good introduction at the beginning, the layout is easy on the eye, and the tasks are easy to understand.
Every week starts off with a motivational quote to help get the creative juices flowing then goes on to encourage you to create, work towards, and complete both long- and short-term goals, and finally wraps up with a writing prompt at the end to keep you in practice.
I love everything about this journal. It helps keep me accountable for my work, set goals and set aside regular time slots to dedicate to writing. Every step of the way it makes you check in on yourself; are you expecting too much, too soon? Are the goals you’re setting too easy, should you up the ante? I feel like this is the perfect way to try and reset my writing habits, as I am seriously out of practice!
