Sunday Brunch

Sunday Brunch – 10.03.22

Another week down, it’s time for another weekly round up!

Posts Overview

My Reading Habits
Bard Of The Borrows: Vol. 1 by Emma Miles – Review
The Grooms Wore White by Charlie Lyndhurst – Review
The Cat Who Saved Books by Sosuke Natsukawa – Review

Currently Reading

This book is from this months selection of Amazon First Reads, and it looked far too good to pass up! A woman who is adopted uploads her DNA to an ancestry website to try and track down her blood relatives, only to find out she is related to a wanted serial killer. This sort of read is right up my street and I’m already well stuck into it!

Writing

True to my word, I’ve been plodding away at my online writing course (Albeit slowly!). The first module is all about character creation; dos and don’ts, how to create well-rounded characters, tips on creating characters and where to find inspiration. It’s shaping up to be a really interesting little course, though tackling it definitely needs to wait for days where I am fully awake to pay enough attention!

Life

There’s really not much to update you on in this section! I’ve been plodding on working and then reading in my spare time, and that’s about it. A lot of this week has been dedicated to filling out and sending off job applications. I currently work 12 hour night shifts, which means I only work 3-4 days a week, which is great for giving me extra spare time to read, write, and potter with other hobbies. Unfortunately my collection of health problems mean I really need to look for something easier on my body, so it looks like I could be making the switch back to a good old 9-5 job. Better for my health, but it may take a bit of adjustment when the time comes and I’m working 5 days a week again!

How has your week been? What have you been reading?
