August Wrap up!

Well, August seems to have flown by! And it’s been another poor health month for me, unfortunately. Lots of medication adjustments and awful side effects. Which means I haven’t really gotten up to very much of anything, aside from a few soul-cleansing early morning walks on the beach. And reading, of course. This also means my grand plans of using August as a NaNo writing month was a complete bust – We were lucky I was getting out of bed most days in all honesty, so writing just was not on the agenda at all. I think I got about 600 words down the entire month. But I’m sure I’ll get myself back on track again eventually! I’m going to try and not beat myself up about it too much.

After a particularly bad night a couple of weeks ago, I headed out for a very early morning walk. In doing so, I managed to catch a gorgeous sunrise down at the beach. It was so early, there wasn’t another soul there. I had a 3+mile long beach all to myself whilst I walked and enjoyed the scenery. It was so peaceful.

Now on to my reading for the month! It was fairly quiet on the blog tour front for me this month, with me taking part in only one tour! You can check it out here:
The Unlikely Occultist by Isobel Blackthorn

Due to the small amount of tours, I made August a month to be catching up with my personal reading, and tackling a portion of my TBR pile! Here are my reads from the month:
The Alchemists Of Evernow by Heidi Catherine
The Empress Of Evernow by Heidi Catherine
The Fever King by Victoria Lee
Ted Bundy: The Only Living Witness by Stephen G. Michaud & Hugh Aynesworth
Sewing The Shadows Together by Alison Baillie

How did your August shape up? What was your favourite read? Let me know!
